Get a new personal key

We are currently in the process of retiring personal keys. It is highly suggested you configure one or more additional second factor authentication methods. To do so sign in to your account page and request backup codes, configure a phone, register a security key, configure an authentication app, or, if you are a government employee, attach your PIV/CAC card to your account.

If you have a valid personal key you will still be able to use it in the case you have lost your other authentication mechanism. Once you use the personal key however you will no longer be generated a new one. Instead you will have to configure a different authentication mechanism. After entering your personal key you will be redirected to a screen that will prompt you to choose one or more additional authentication mechanisms.
