My login.gov account uses a different email address

Your login.gov email address must be the same as your SAM.gov email address to successfully link your SAM profile to your login.gov account. If you have already created a login.gov account, but with an email address that is different from your SAM.gov registered email you can do the following:

  1. Update your SAM.gov email: Before 6:00 pm EST on Friday, June 29th, you can update your SAM.gov email to the email address you used to create your login.gov account. When you sign on to SAM.gov using login.gov for the first time, your profile will automatically link.
  2. Change your login.gov email: You can change your login.gov email to match your SAM.gov email address. You must change your login.gov email before signing into SAM using login.gov. Changing your email will not affect your profiles with other government applications, and once you’ve signed into SAM.gov and linked your profile, you can change your login.gov email back to the original email used. To change your login.gov email, do the following:
  3. Create another login.gov account: You can also create a new login.gov account using the same email registered with SAM.
